NO. 03 / HOW I WORK05 PRINCIPLES

How I work.

The principles behind how I build and review code.

DIRECTIVE // 01PERFORMANCE & ACCESSIBILITY

User first, always.

Everything I build is for the person using it. If a site is fast on a good laptop but slow on a phone in Lagos or Abuja, it isn't ready.

PRINCIPLE
DIRECTIVE // 02TECHNICAL INTEGRITY

Own your code, even with AI.

AI tools help, but I should understand every line I ship. Prompting without knowing the fundamentals leads to code nobody can maintain.

PRINCIPLE
DIRECTIVE // 03FAULT TOLERANCE

Handle what can go wrong.

Real users hit slow networks, failed API calls and bad input. I validate data, show clear errors, and test the edge cases, not just the happy path.

PRINCIPLE
DIRECTIVE // 04MAINTAINABILITY

Build for the next engineer.

Code is read far more often than it is written. Clear TypeScript types, reusable components and good documentation make it easy for the next person to pick up.

PRINCIPLE
DIRECTIVE // 05VELOCITY & DISCIPLINE

Move fast without cutting corners.

Speed comes from good habits like testing, reusable components and automated deployments, not from skipping accessibility or security.

PRINCIPLE
