About Me
A short intro — who I am and how I work
Hello 👋 I am Victor Okeke, a Software & Product Engineer based in Abuja, Nigeria, with over 5 years of professional experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance digital platforms. I design web and desktop products across fintech, e-commerce, public sector, and EduTech with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Node/Express, and .NET. I am currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Information Technology (Artificial Intelligence) at Miva Open University.
I’ve worked across industries — from fintech platforms in Rwanda with Standard Life PLC, to revamping government portals for Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and delivering e-commerce and mobility solutions for international startups. That mix shaped how I think about performance, UX, and accessibility.
I’m currently collaborating with Nexenda, an AI research and product company building safe, human-centered artificial intelligence born in Africa. I help turn complex AI concepts into usable web interfaces.
Beyond engineering, I care about ecosystem building and mentorship. As Operations Lead at Anambra Techies, I helped structure a statewide campus network that now has 2,000+ members and inspired groups like the Anambra Startup Network and Anambra Web3 Community. I also train aspiring developers through WomenpreneurNG and Zion Study Centre.

The ministry’s legacy website was outdated, unstable, and difficult to maintain. A complete rebuild was required under a tight delivery deadline, including support for a complex multitenancy configuration across internal departments such as embassies and consulates.

During my service year in Kaduna, I noticed that the purpose of the Community Development Service (CDS) was being undermined by absenteeism and attendance manipulation. Manual records made it easy for corps members to skip meetings, weakening the essence of the NYSC program.

Hackathon wins, awards, and notable achievements throughout my career.
Secured 3rd place with my team at the Anambra Web3 Hackathon 2025; the largest Web3 conference in the region, sponsored by Starknet Foundation. Our team built a decentralized platform that verifies real estate and land documents using Artificial Intelligence. The system performs background checks, identifies potential disputes, and ensures validation through recognized legal organizations. Once verified, properties are tokenized using STRK coin, enabling fractional ownership and seamless transactions. We also implemented wallet abstraction to enhance security and improve user experience.
