From desktop software in C# to high-velocity web engineering.
“Great software isn't just about elegant code syntax—it's about predictability, defensive architecture, and creating systems that the next engineer can fearlessly evolve.”
My professional identity lives at the intersection of practical engineering execution, developer education, and career empowerment. I believe writing resilient code and helping people grow are mutually reinforcing disciplines: explaining complex concepts clearly makes you a sharper software architect, and building production systems gives you battle-tested lessons to teach.
My software journey began in 2017 during my Industrial Training at the University of Benin. Out of nine students selected across engineering disciplines, I represented Computer Science in the prestigious Schlumberger Technology Engagement Program (STEP). Under industrial mentorship, my team developed Petrel plugins in C# to simulate subsurface fluid distribution and presented at the NAPE 2017 Conference in Lagos. That grounding in type safety, memory boundaries, and desktop architectures shaped how I approach systems today.
As I expanded into distributed web stacks, I focused on systems that hold up under real-world constraints. At Compumetrics Solutions Ltd, I architected banking integrations for FCMB and PremiumTrust (virtual accounts, webhooks, transaction reconciliation), engineered a Unified Insurance API across seven insurers, and developed the Bank Split Advisory revenue collection platform. Later, as Lead Product Engineer on contract, I led a four-person team rebuilding the public consular portal for Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cutting page load times by 45%. Today, as a Member of Technical Staff at Nexenda, I contribute to web and native platform engineering, APIs, and applied AI research.
Equally central to my work is mentorship and career development. At Zion Study Centre and through developer bootcamps, I have taught and mentored over 150 learners in practical programming fundamentals—HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Git. Seeing how many capable developers struggle with professional positioning, I also launched career workshops and resume clinics that have trained over 500 job seekers and career pivoters to effectively communicate their value and land opportunities.
Through my community work as Operations Manager with Anambra Techies, I coordinate hackathons, campus tech networks, and partner initiatives that create accessible launchpads for African talent. Whether writing production APIs or guiding an aspiring engineer through their first code review, my goal is simple: build products that last, and help people grow.
